High ticket dropshipping. It’s where the money is at and over the years, it has gotten so much more popular amongst entrepreneurs mainly because of the profit margins. High ticket drop shipping involves selling more expensive products with higher profit margins. The aim is to make more profit from fewer sales.
High ticket drop shipping can involve selling expensive goods that are usually priced at over say $80 to $100. Profit margins are also pretty high too. High-ticket dropshipping can be harder and the odds of success are a lot higher. However, get it right and you can build yourself a long-term business making connections with real suppliers making larger potential profits whilst doing less work.
This is not some get-rich-quick scheme though. High ticket drop shipping in all honesty should mainly be left to those with experience. In some cases, newbies can make a profitable high-ticket store using a more domestic method but if you want to sell worldwide via high-ticket sales, then you need experience and a lot of upfront capital.
So let’s have a look into high-ticket dropshipping, and how you can get involved.
What Are High Ticket Products?
High ticket products are mainly more expensive products. To narrow it down we have made a simple list of a few examples of what a high ticket product could be.
-
- Headphones
-
- Sofas
-
- Car Parts
-
- Drones
-
- Appliances
-
- Gun Safes
These are just a few products that could fall under the high-ticket category. The profit margins are at least say $50 upwards and the product price on your store is usually upwards of $80 to $100. The high-ticket world can be lucrative, but what is an example of a high-ticket dropshipping store?
Wayfair is an example of what a high ticket dropshipping store is. They are currently worth over $6 billion and they are also listed on the New York Stock Exchange. Wayfair sells a variety of products that are all drop shipped. It is likely they do use fulfilment centres though since they sell so many products per day at such low prices.
Another high-ticket example is HeySilkySkin. They are a high-ticket brand that sells $99 upwards laser hair removal devices. They are another example of a high-ticket dropshipping store that again use fulfilment centres. They started out doing Aliexpress dropshipping but now are leagues above that today. The product they sell on Aliexpress costs around $30 on there.

How Do I Get Started?
You can go onto Aliexpress, find a product that is say, $30 or so and then mark it up on your store by three times. You are then selling the product for $90 which leaves you with a $60 margin. Of course, make sure the product is good as you don’t want to be selling $90 garbage that will only get you refunds.
Be aware, the more expensive product is, the more expensive it is going to advertise. It’s been said that on average, somebody needs to see your product around eight times before they buy from you. Therefore, you need to make your ads more convincing for the customer.
High ticket sales are all about social proof. believe it or not, people in 2021 are still nervous about ordering things online. Therefore, you need to show them that you are trustworthy. Show them reviews, social accounts, insights into your company, etc. High-ticket products at the end of the day are, not impulse purchases. You are competing with higher calibre competition in the high-ticket world therefore, you need to show people why they would want to buy from you.
You can also contact local suppliers and ask if they offer dropshipping services. Contact a local furniture supplier and tell them you want to do a business-to-business deal whereby you dropship goods from them. You then advertise your business into the warm markets via mainly Google ads. In some cases, you may not have to spend as much to get ads. But be aware of something. This is still pretty hard and building the sales funnel for these sorts of businesses is hard. If you have no social proof, it’s likely you will get no sales.
The key in high-ticket dropshipping is to make a store that makes you look bigger than you actually are. Make it look smart, elegant, and fitting to your niche. You also need to make sure your socials, most particularly the Facebook page look good. Also, you will have to take advantage of Google shopping too so your store shows up in Google shopping feeds as that is a sales booster.
The main marketing move for anything high ticket is word of mouth marketing. If you can get people to talk about your store, then people will trust you more and feel more comfortable buying from you. This is why Ikea and the like are just so popular. You also need to be convenient and offer fast delivery as trust me, nobody will wait a month for an expensive product.
Make sure you have a proper name too. A typical dropshipping name like “dealhut123” will just not work. Make it elegant and fitting to your niche. Also, customer service is key too so if you can offer things like a live chat and a telephone line then do it. Customers may want to consult you before purchase to tackle a few needs.

Should You Try It?
If you have the budget and the experience, then yes you should have a go at high-ticket dropshipping. In fact, if you are experienced enough with dropshipping and you want to take on a new challenge, then go ahead. It’s completely worth it and it can really transform your lifestyle if you know what you’re doing.
In some areas, you can sell the same amount of high ticket products per day as low-ticket items. This is where the money is at and for experienced drop shippers, it should be a must. Try it, because it will probably be the thing that takes you to the next level.
If you’re new, you may want to steer clear of high-ticket for now. Or if you have a low budget saying that, you can try domestic high-ticket drop shipping but of course make sure you get your education in first.
